While the current 32 team design works perfectly - I cant help but imagine some potential new teams in a fantasy world (lol). Lets say for the sake of this question - and not reality or future possibilities....the NFL expanded by one team per division. Thats a total of 8 new teams. Give me your thoughts......listed below are mine, comment if you would like. AFC EAST •New England Patriots •Buffalo Bills •N.Y. Jets •Miami Dolphins •Orlando Phantoms (pale blue, pale purple on white - Tortured face of a ghost on the helmet. WOuld give an instate rival to its divisional opponent Miami Dolphins and would have the market to support with the Disney business in town - maybe even Disney owned?) AFC NORTH •Pittsburgh Steelers •Cincinnati Bengals •Cleveland Browns •Baltimore Ravens •Toronto Hawks (Canada red, black, with silver trim and highlights - maybe the silouette of a hawk in attack mode, wings up talons out)- Toronto is itching to enter the NFL and would if they have the chance.) AFC SOUTH •Tennessee Titans •Indianopolis Colts •Jacksonville Jaguars •Houston Texans •Birmingham Generals (burgandy and grey with black highlights - two crossed swords on the helmet. I could see Birmingham having enough support for an NFL team, the TV market would be rough, but remember this is our imagination at work, not reality) AFC WEST •Denver Broncos •Kansas City Cheifs •San Diego Chargers •Oakland Raiders •Las Vegas Vipers (green, yellow, and black - an up close open mouthed snake - Vegas would be a cool as hell NFL city) NFC EAST •N.Y. Giants •Washington Redskins •Dallas Cowboys •Philadelphia Eagles •Boston Brawlers (copper and black with orange highlights - An inter locked B B symbol on the helmet. Boston just seems to fit in this division) NFC NORTH •Chicago Bears •Green Bay Packers •Minnesota Vikings •Detroit Lions •Dakota Coyotes (Tan, Brown, Black trim - silouette of a howelling coyote against a full moon - Two states (Dakotas) could share the team, maybe it could have its stadium at a large city near the border of the two states.) NFC SOUTH •Tampa Bay Buccaneers •New Orleans Saints •Atlanta Falcons •Carolina Panthers •Memphis Blues ( Shades of blues with silver and black highlights, Musical notes on the side of the helmet - Memphis almost got an expansion team when the Jaguars and Panthers came into the league. They had talks with Bud Adams when the Titans came to Tennessee and the team played there one season in transition. The city is ready for a team. NFC WEST •San Francisco 49ers •St. Louis Rams •Seattle Seahawks •Arizona Cardinals •San Antonio Stingers (Yellow, Black, hints of white - a Yellow jacket type "bee" on the side of the helmet. Texas teams dont all have to be about cowboys and bulls.) ***I thought I made myself clear that this is PURE FICTION - and yet the first person who answers my question tries to point out that the NFL will not be expanding.
